Night descended and I met up with one of my business partners, Pete Alsen AKA Blind Dog, at the studio. He organized coverage from a local cable show of the event so we did some mini interviews and posed for photos. Thanks Vin (Tina)!
After that it was out to the clubs to spread the word about the party. Then off to the grocery store to purchase water, then off to the party. Super busy, super tired but the party must go on.
The party kicked off at 1 a.m. and people started trickling in. It was a slow start as we waited for the bars to close and people to migrate to the studio. I started the music off slow and deep and moved into vocal house then progressive stuff as the crowd filed in. Once everyone was there I handed it off to Pat Allard then other DJs including Rob Lepel, Sharkat, ect to finish out the night.
It was a great party. Pretty mellow, which was perfect for the after hours situation. More parties to come and more sunrises to chase. (more…)
Wow I’m still pumped from an awesome weekend. Friday started off with some production work at the studio, then off. To half lounge to see Craig Mitchell. Afterward it was off to a house party to see DJ Haitian.
I woke up late the next day and began running around like a madman prepping for my after hours party.
I bought a new lighting chaser, installed and tested my lights before running up to the half lounge to play a short set.
I’ve been messing with various settings in Traktor lately so I had to reset my settings before leaving the house for the gig. Next thing I knew my screen went blue. Crash! And I was supposed to be on in 30 min!!! I quickly got it back up and running and flew off to the club.
Frazzled, I showed up and the day’s events were in full swing. It was Mardi Gras in Burlington. The parade just ended and despite it being 4 pm, there were tons of people out and ready to party. (more…)
Here are 10 killer songs I was playing in December. This collection is not meant to be a “best of” list and are in no particular order. These were played at my Envy set at the Green Room on Dec, 20. (more…)
